1.0 Introduction
In August 1999, the Minister of Education invited  Multimedia Technology  Enhancement Operation Sdn.Bhd (METEOR), a consortium of 11 public universities in the country, to set up an open university. The move by the Minister led to the establishment of Open University Malaysia (OUM) in August 2000 followed by its official launching on 26 August 2002 by the then Prime Minister of Malaysia YAB Dato Seri Dr. Mahathir Mohamad.
In Facebook, there a several picture that shows the activity of OUM activity such as     Tree Planting programme at the Paralympic Park at Taman Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur and it is organised by Lanskap Malaysia and the Malaysia Paralympic Council. A part of that it also give their latest information to the people who are like their pages.

2.0 Body
I think most of the companies nowadays resort to social networking sites in order to remain seen because nowadays peoples used social networking to search all the information that they want as it is easier to get the information from it.
If I am one of the board of director of OUM, the gain that I get from having Facebook is feedback from the customers so that I can improve the weakness of the university. People can know all the activities of the OUM so it can get a attraction from them.

3.0 Conclusion
As a conclusion, the main reason for all those companies engaging the Facebook is to get attraction from the people to know about their company. So that lot of people will continue their further study in OUM

4.0 Recommendation
The OUM should up to date their new information so that people can know it faster and it also should introduce their university much better so there will get a good reputation.
